History

MUSUMBA Steel was founded in 2014. It is the first industry under the category of Iron and steel products in Burundi. Its commercial production began in 2016. MUSUMBA Steel has acquired a reputation as a manufacturer of top-quality products, designed to meet all international standards. Our products are used in major public and private projects in the region, also being distributed by a strong distribution network in Burundi and other the sub-Saharan countries. Today, MUSUMBA Steel is widely recognized as a main force in steel industry in Burundi and one among the industries of reference in the region of the Great Lakes and Sub-Saharan region. To meet the demand for Iron and steel products, MUSUMBA Steel launched a series of initiatives to expand its operation in Sub- Saharan region. Under this initiative, new operation in Tanzania was decided. MUSUMBA STEEL Tanzania LTD was incorporated in 2022 with the mission to tap into the Sub-Saharan region to satisfy the demand of Steel products in the region.
